RHA Networking Event

On May 13, Signs Now Mill Creek hosted its first RHA Networking event. The night’s topic was “Marketing in a Recession,” where attendees learned how to apply Fortune 500 marketing/ advertising/sales methods for achieving better occupancy rates. The night’s speaker, John Barr, has more than 20 years of marketing (mainly creative and branding) experience with large corporations such as Microsoft, BBDO Advertising and Fluke Electronics. As a current landlord, John holds between a 0% and .75% vacancy at market rates. The event was attended by over 50 members and guests–making it a first-time success.

For those of you who have not heard of the RHA, they are the Rental Housing Association of Puget Sound, a not-for-profit trade association. It is an organization where rental housing owners are given tips and support for the rental housing industry. According to Alice Hartley, the Publications Director for the RHA:

[The] RHA is the largest rental housing association of its kind in the Pacific Northwest. Members of RHA are provided with the most current and up-to-date information affecting the rental housing industry.  Members are supplied with all the tools they need to be a successful rental owner, operator and manager. RHA promotes quality rental housing through ethics, education, service and reasonable government regulation.

During the event, there were also drawings, and wine and refreshments were served throughout the evening. For more information about the RHA, please visit their webpage at http://www.rha-ps.com.
